Parker Mount
Vice President - Development

 


Mr. Mount graduated from Auburn University in 1987 with a degree in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.). Upon graduation, he engaged in commercial real estate brokerage with Lehman Real Estate, before becoming affiliated with Halstead Developers, Inc. (Montgomery, AL), as Vice President of Leasing. In that position, Mr. Mount oversaw the leasing of all commercial developments undertaken by the company, tenant negotiations and commercial space improvements, the development of construction budgets and cost reduction measures, the sale and/or leasing of commercial center out-parcels, and the hiring and supervision of property maintenance personnel. During his association with Halstead, Mr. Mount oversaw development opportunities with KFC, a division of PepsiCo, in areas that Halstead undertook commercial development.

In 1992, Mr. Mount joined Rally’s Hamburgers, Inc., as its Director of Real Estate for the Southeastern U.S., where he was responsible for the negotiation of all manner of commercial real estate related sales, purchase and lease agreements. Mr. Mount successfully set up many of the development needs of the company by negotiating mutually acceptable contracts with major oil companies including Mobile, Exxon, Chevron, BP, and Star Enterprises (Texaco). Mr. Mount was also responsible for the growth of the company’s franchisee affiliations, and the location of such units on approved sites.

In 1994, Mr. Mount joined Boston Market Corporation, with development responsibilities throughout the Midwestern U.S. He was also responsible for the development of a plan of divestment and consolidation of operating units, product fulfillment, and lines of supply for the company that was implemented in 1997. During this time, he also privately engaged in the development of a commercial property located in Winder, Georgia, where he sited, constructed and leased a pharmacy to CVS Corporation.

For a period of nearly 7 years, terminating in 2005, Mr. Mount served as Vice President of Development of Jillian’s Entertainment Corporation, and served as the principal in charge of the national expansion of the company’s brand throughout the United States. Mr. Mount oversaw all aspects of the location, design, development, construction and financing of restaurant, food and beverage, and activity venues that varied in size from twenty five thousand (25,000) square feet to more than one hundred thousand (100,000) square feet. Further, he was directly responsible for lease negotiations and tenant improvement contributions, as well as supervision of a staff of administrators that oversaw food purchasing and delivery, operating unit engineering, repair and maintenance, and licensing issues associated with the operation of all company units.

In October, 2005, Mr. Mount helped direct the formation of Milestone Development Group, LLC, a commercial, residential and industrial development firm, affiliated with the Milestone Companies. As a Principal of “MDG”, Mr. Mount directs the capital projects of the Milestone Companies (along with Mason Mednick), a real estate ownership and operating enterprise with annual revenues in excess of Seventy Million Dollars ($70,000,000). Mr. Mount is responsible for the development of property renovation plans, budgets, and capital improvement strategies, directing the efforts of architects, construction trades, and service suppliers. He is also responsible for the strategic planning associated with the firm’s commercial developments that are primarily focused in the eastern United States and that involve such branded operations as Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Ruby Tuesday, and others. Mr. Mount is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
